Minoliti Salvatore (1976, Reggio Calabria, Italy) is a contemporary artist of eclectic training that from childhood approaches the art by starting a path of passionate study.
He earned a degree in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Reggio Calabria. He lives and works in both Milan and his hometown.
He has participated in numerous personal and collective exhibitions; his latest exhibition “Tre Sale Cablate”, curated by Angela Pellicanò, was open to visitors in May-June 2024, at The Palazzo della Cultura P. Crupi in Reggio Calabria.
Art is so important to him that it is the same as life itself. Therefore the act of creating becomes increasingly necessary and concretely therapeutic.
His works are made up of recycled coaxial and electrical cables, which the artist himself recovers in the landfill and ecological collection centres of his city.
Old cables, previously conductors and artificers of connection between human beings, reworked, intertwined, simulate organic forms, resemble miological filaments or circulatory systems.
His work explores the relationship between digital communication and man and the effects that result from it.
